Fibre to the Cabinet is a superfast broadband service and is available from Minotaur IT.

Instead of copper cable from the BT exchange to your premises, BT Openreach have run fibre optic cable from the exchange to your BT street cabinet, thus the only remaining copper is the short hop from the cabinet to your premises.

Load Balancing and Failover

If you want even more speed, we can supply multiple FTTC connections and load balance these at your premises. We can even mix FTTC and ADSL connections via diverse routes (e.g. FTTC via BT and ADSL via LLU) for even better redundancy.

When all connections are online different types of traffic can be prioritised along each connection for best performance. If a connection goes offline, all traffic automatically reroutes to use the surviving connections.   more >

BT Analogue Lines

Like ADSL, FTTC broadband requires an analogue line in place in order to deliver the service. If you don’t already have a line, we can arrange installation for you and include it in your broadband bill with a substantial cost saving over BT’s retail price. We can even arrange a Simultaneous Activation so you aren’t waiting for your new connection any longer than absolutely necessary.   more >
