Both ADSL and FTTC broadband services require an analogue line in place in order to deliver the service. If you don’t already have a line, we can arrange installation for you and include it in your broadband bill with a substantial cost saving over BT’s retail price.
We can also supply analogue lines independently of our broadband products if required, for example, by alarm systems, card processing machines or even just general telephone use – but check our Telecoms section to see if one of our Voice over IP products might be more suitable.

How long does it take to install?
This is dependent on available appointments from BT Openreach and can vary from area to area. To err on the safe side, we generally recommend you allow 3 weeks for an installation.
Can I use an existing socket?
Maybe. If there’s an existing socket in your premises, it’s possible the line is still there, just not live. BT refer to this as a stopped line. If Openreach are able to confirm the presence of a stopped line, we can usually restart it within 48 hours without the normal installation charge.
Enhanced Care?
For an additional £2.50 per month we can provide analogue lines with Openreach’s enhanced care level which usually means a faster resolution time in the event of a widespread BT fault than the equivalent standard line might offer.
Simultaneous Activation
In the past, it was only possible to place an order for a new broadband connection once the analogue line was installed and live.
We can now arrange a Simultaneous Activation so your broadband is likely (but not guaranteed) to go live at the same time your new line is installed, so you aren’t waiting for your new connection any longer than absolutely necessary.
